A rare sunny September day in Dublin saw the Aviva host one of college football’s oldest rivalries, the Fighting Irish, Notre dame against the Navy Midshipmen. In a rematch of the 1996 NCAA game in Croke Park, Notre Dame will once again face Navy in the Emerald Isle Classic in Dublin. The fixture will take place on the 1st September 2012 and will attract over 25,000 US fans to the Aviva Stadium to watch the longest running intersectional college football rivalry.
